Here it is, the basic recipe that started the craze. I wasn’t sure about mixing pudding with alcohol, as I am sure many of you would agree, but those of you who have tasted some of my combinations can attest to, these are much better than jello shots.
I have taken this basic recipe and come up with over 30 different pudding/alcohol combinations. I have a few favorites that are always asked for and in order to continue being asked for them, I just can’t bear to share them. I will however, share some of my other combinations.
1 ounce souffle cups and lids can be found at your local restaurant supply store or GFS
All combinations will have the same mixing and finishing instructions as follows:
Mix pudding mix and milk thoroughly with electric mixer. Add alcohol, mixing completely. Mix in Cool Whip to a mousse-like consistency, making sure pudding and cool whip are mixed completely.
Spoon pudding mixture into individual 1 oz souffle cups and lid, place on cookie sheet and freeze overnight. A pastry bag with 1/2 tip works really well to fill the cups.

I also make a lot of pudding shots and have come up with several combinations. One of the favs I make that everyone loves in Pistachio with Rumchata!!!!! I’ve also made key lime pie which is a hit. Especially if you garnish the top with graham cracker crumbs. 😉
